Meet the Team

Mike McLendon – Owner

A lifelong Floridian, Mike was born in Ft. Lauderdale and raised in Jacksonville Beach. He moved to the Panhandle in 1997 with a concrete materials company where he was a Regional Human Resources Manager. Six months after moving here the company eliminated his position. Wanting to have more control over his future Mike found Pillar to Post Home Inspections. The rest as they say is history. Now 20+ years later Pillar to Post Home Inspectors, The McLendon Team is the premier home inspection company in the Panhandle. His drive to provide an amazing customer experience is what runs through the DNA of everyone involved on the team.

Jeffrey McLendon – Lead Inspector

Jeffrey was born in Jacksonville Beach Fl and moved to the Panhandle when he was in the first grade. Jeffrey has worked in several fields in his life starting as a restaurant server in High School and various retail jobs. He excelled in a banking career becoming one of the youngest people to be promoted to a Platform position. Jeffrey joined The McLendon team in 2017 and has surged as an inspector with great integrity, personal commitment, and strong customer service skills. He is often requested by name by real estate professionals. When you get to spend time with Jeff on an inspection you will understand his commitment to an amazing customer experience.

Justin McLendon – Administrative Director

Justin was born in Jacksonville Beach Fl and moved to the Panhandle when he was in the fifth grade. Justin has always had a love for the theatre from an early age. He continued to pursue this all the way through college earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in theatre graduating Suma Cum Laude from the New World School of the arts. He has several theatre and TV credits to his name.

Justin also had a very successful career in banking for several years before joining The McLendon Team. Justin answers our phones, keeps the schedules and basically keeps us organized. His is the first voice you will hear when you call. His incredibly strong people skills, can do attitude, and amazing attention to detail is what is the beginning of the incredible customer experience you will have with us.

Kay McLendon – Accounting

Kay was also born in Jacksonville beach and moved to the Panhandle in 1997. There is no real title that can describe what she brings to The McLendon Team. While she prefers to remain in the background, she is the glue that holds it all together. So much more than our accounting she is there to support every aspect of this team both professionally and personally. None of this happens without her.

Charlotte “Grandma” Kunkel – Support

Charlotte is Mike’s mom, and we don’t want you think that we are working her to death, but to be honest she might outpace most of us. Having retired from a full life of raising a family, grandkids, and a career she deserves a rest. But that doesn’t come natural to Grandma. Keeping a full schedule even now still being involved in her church, teaching a Tai Chi class, (yes really) we can’t keep up with her. There are always those times when in a lurch someone needs to go here, pick up that, bring this or that, and she is always there, we are grateful to have her.

Jacob Muller

Jacob was born in Davenport, IA spending his Teen years in Sioux City, IA with stops in Texas
and even Europe along his journey. He moved to the Florida Panhandle in 2021.
Jacob has worked in a variety of careers along his way including flooring and tile installation
and general contracting. He has a strong sense of customer service and is known for his
strong attention to detail.
We are excited to have Jacob part of our team. His commitment to excellence, attention to
detail, and hard work all comes together to deliver the kind of top-notch customer service that
